Hiptruth Productions is a production company specializing in making the truth, hip.

The company creates non-fiction media that is unflinching and unafraid.  From the U.S.-Mexico border, to streets named for Martin Luther King Jr, from the modern-day lynching in Jasper Texas, to the historical racial cleansing of America’s past, Hiptruth Productions tackles some of the most divisive and painful arenas of everyday life.  The company has been making social justice documentaries since 2003.

Hiptruth Productions creative director Marco Williams has written, produced, and directed films for PBS, POV, Independent Lens, The History Channel, Nat Geo, New York Times Television, MTV Networks, and YouTube.

Marco is also known for helping other media makers get their stories told.
